Our Wedding

Should I stay at Sundance Mountain Resort?

Yes — the entirety of our wedding weekend will be held onsite at Sundance Mountain Resort. We strongly encourage all of our guests to stay on property and fully enjoy the weekend, as there will be no transportation provided to serve off-site hotels. Please note that late-night rideshare availability (Uber, Lyft, etc.) in the area can be very limited.

Is there a wedding room block?

Our room block has now reached capacity, but rooms may still be available at our group rate on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call the resort directly at +1 (800) 892-1600 to check availability, mentioning the Burns/Livingstone wedding. Please note that a one-night deposit is required at booking, fully refundable up to 30 days before arrival. The remaining balance is collected 30 days prior and becomes non-refundable at that point.

The Studio Room sleeps 2 people and provides additional living space for guests. Sundance Suite

The Mountain Loft sleeps 5 and is the largest room type. Mountain Loft

The Inn at Sundance is a new-build (opened February 2026) hotel at the base of the mountain, offering different views of the surrounding landscape. The Inn at Sundance

Sundance offers a collection of Mountain Homes as part of their accommodation types. Where is the wedding?

The entirety of our wedding weekend will be held onsite at Sundance Mountain Resort. We strongly encourage all of our guests to stay on property and fully enjoy the weekend, as there will be no transportation provided to or from offsite hotels. Please note that late-night rideshare availability (Uber, Lyft, etc.) in the area can be very limited.

What is the schedule for the weekend?

We will kick off the weekend with Welcome Cocktails on Friday, June 19th at 7:00 PM and round out the weekend with a Farewell Brunch on Sunday, June 21st at 9:00 AM. Guests will have ample time to explore the activities that Sundance has to offer before the Welcome Cocktails on Friday, before the Ceremony on Saturday, and after the Farewell Brunch on Sunday. For more details regarding the schedule for the weekend, please see the Events section on the "Home" tab.

How will guests get to the ceremony site?

All guests will be required to ride a chairlift (the Outlaw Express) to and from the ceremony site at Mandan Summit with a strict guest boarding timeframe from 5:00 - 5:30 PM.

Are children allowed at the wedding events?

No, all wedding events will be adult-only for our invited guests.

What dining options are there at Sundance?

There are several on-site <a href="https://www.sundanceresort.com/dining/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">dining options at Sundance</a>. Reservations are encouraged for dining at the Foundry Grill and the Tree Room and can be made up to two months in advance. The Owl Bar does not take reservations and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while The Deli is a fast casual counter with a grab-and-go type menu.

Activities at Sundance

To extend your trip out West and see why Alex and Garrett love Utah, consider visiting nearby Park City for shops, hikes, and dining, or rent a car and drive a few hours south to explore Utah’s stunning National Parks. We’ve put together a high-level guide below with some of our favorite recommendations.

Park City area

Hiking the Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains

There are numerous hikes in the area for all skill levels that showcase alpine lakes, aspen forests, and scenic vistas. One of our favorite hikes is Bloods Lake Trailhead.

Shopping on Main Street

Spend an afternoon walking up Park City's historic Main Street, visiting local shops (including one of Alex's favorites, Dolly's Bookstore), grabbing a bite to eat, or taking Town Lift for a scenic ride up the mountain.

Visit the Utah Olympic Park

Take a tour through Olympic history at the Utah Olympic Park. Browse artifacts on display, experience interactive exhibits, and ride down the former Olympic bobsled track.

Utah's National Parks

Zion National Park

Experience the dramatic red rock landscape that southern Utah has to offer. As one of Alex and Garrett's first hiking adventures together, we highly recommend our guests look into hiking both Angel's Landing and The Narrows if visiting Zion. Please note that permits are required to hike Angel's Landing and are issued via a lottery system between April 1st - April 20th or the day before on recreation.gov. For The Narrows, permits are not required but bring or rent appropriate gear.

Bryce Canyon National Park

The surreal landscape of Bryce Canyon is defined by its colorful rock pillars and unique formations. Take it all in at the Bryce Amphitheater, get a birds‑eye view from Inspiration Point, and see the iconic standalone hoodoo, Thor’s Hammer.

Arches National Park

Known for it's natural sandstone arches, visiting the iconic Delicate Arch is a must for first-time visitors. Additionally, the park showcases Landscape Arch and Balanced Rock.

Canyonlands National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, and more!

Outside of Zion, Bryce, and Arches, Utah's "Mighty 5" also includes Canyonlands National Park, andCapitol Reef National Park. Beyond the great National Parks, guests should consider working in Antelope Canyon, driving through the scenic Monument Valley, and stopping by Grand Staircase-Escalante.
